RESULTS OF THE INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION ON INCLUSIVE EDUCATION “TOUCH POINTS”

December 29, the final meeting of the team of the Center for Innovative Educational Technologies “PNU EcoSystem” and the Creative Educational and Scientific Laboratory “Mountain School of the Ukrainian Carpathians” was held at which the winners of the “Points of Touch” international inclusive education competition were awarded. The founders and partners of the Contest are the public organization “Inclusive Space. Ukraine Community” (Chernivtsi, Ukraine) and the non-profit organization “Inclusive Practices” (Ureki, Georgia) with the support of the International Association for Community Development (IACD) – a global international network accredited by the UN. One of the locations was the Carpathian University, where the winners were chosen in two nominations:

1) Inclusive education in general secondary education institutions of the Ukrainian Carpathian region (coordinator: Professor Inna Chervinska).

2) Preparation of future teachers to implement inclusive education tasks in institutions of general secondary education (coordinator: Professor Olena Budnyk).

So, among the winners of the competition in the nomination:

1st placeAnna Hainus, a Master’s student of the Precarpathian National University – project: “Preparation of future teachers to organize an inclusive educational setting for internally displaced children (from the work experience in “Frankolo” project)”;

2nd placeYevgenia Taran, a student of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko – project “SAND-ART as a method of correction of aggression in children with special educational needs in the conditions of inclusion”, a supervisor Yuriy Kosenko – Associate Professor, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences;

3rd place was shared by two participants:

Anastasia Nastechyk, a student of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A. S. Makarenko – project “Development of fine motor skills in first-graders with delayed mental development in an inclusive class by means of sand animation”, a scientific supervisor Yuriy Kosenko – Associate Professor, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences;

Olesya Dzhoholyk, a Master’s student of the Precarpathian National University- project: “Social and pedagogical integration of children with special educational needs by means of ICT”, a research supervisor Halyna Lemko – Associate Professor, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences.

The winners received certificates and valuable gifts.
