BASED ON THE “PNU ECOSYSTEM” CENTER, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COURSES FOR MEDICAL UNIVERSITY EDUCATORS WERE HELD

December 9-12, based on the Center for Innovative Educational Technologies “PNU EcoSystem”, advanced training courses for scientific and pedagogical staff of institutions of professional pre-higher and higher medical education on the topic: “Educators’ professional development in the conditions of digitalization of education” were held. 25 participants were involved in online courses.

On the first day, Professors Olena Budnyk and Inna Chervinska, together with the participants – the Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University staff- considered the peculiarities of the educators’ professional development in modern conditions, Ukrainian universities’ innovative experience facing the war challenges, the pedagogical technique of information hygiene and media literacy in the conditions of war, as well as the technology of formative assessment of student learning outcomes. Innovative digital tools and resources were also presented during the training, which are of great demand today, especially in the conditions of distance and mixed education (Professor Tetyana Kachak, Associate Professor Viktoriya Gniezdilova), several methods of conducting student debates (Associate Professor Tetyana Blyznyuk), educational trends in the conditions of the development of a digital society: Massive Open Online Courses, immersive learning, Agile technologies, micro-learning (Associate Professor Kateryna Fomin), as well as methods of using machine learning to categorize visual information (Senior Teacher Mykhailo Kotyk).

The course program aims at improving information and communication, educators’ digital and media competencies, primarily in terms of the ability to use online tools for visualizing educational material, evaluating learning outcomes; skills of implementing media educational technologies, and providing feedback in the educational process.

As a result of the course program, all participants received Certificates of professional development (30 academic hours (1.0 ECTS credit).
