CENTER TEAM TAKE PART IN THE ALL-UKRAINIAN SCIENTIFIC-PRACTICAL SEMINAR «MODERN BOOK AND READING IN THE DIGITAL AGE»

On October 27, the Center team, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Olena Budnyk and Doctor of Philology, Professor Tetiana Kachak, took an active part in the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Seminar “Modern Book and Reading in the Digital Age” organized by the National Library for Children (National Section of the International  Board on Books for Young People)-IBBY.

    In her speech, Olena Budnyk emphasized the preferences of modern students regarding the choice of printed and electronic books for study, pointed out the positive and negative aspects of the use of printed publications and digital resources. The subject of discussion was also the promotion of printed books and children’s reading, the reality of reading practices of young people in the context of digitalization, the impact of information and communication environment on personal development and others. In particular, in Tetiana Kachak’s speech, interesting forms and methods of popularization of the fiction book among teenagers and youth were presented, among which the author’s project «Literary Cavalier», within which it has become a good tradition to hold various events in our university.

The seminar was attended by more than 100 participants from all over Ukraine: scientists, teachers, librarians, and others.
