OLENA BUDNYK, DIRECTOR OF THE CENTER, TOOK PART IN THE MEETING OF THE POLISH ACADEMY OF SCIENCES

On May 31, an open meeting of the section of Christian pedagogy of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS) was held, in which Professor Olena Budnyk, director of the Center for Innovative Educational Technologies “PNU EcoSystem”, took an active part, discussing the problems of the general academic cycle “Identity in Christian Pedagogy”. The subjects of the presentations and discussions were the issues of pedagogical, religious, national, and cultural identity, as well as human identity in Pope John Paul II’s teachings, etc.

In her speech, Olena Budnyk emphasized the tasks of general pedagogy and Christian pedagogy in terms of civic identity, spiritual, moral, and national-patriotic education of children and youth; noting that the level of national identity of Ukrainian youth has increased significantly after the full-scale Russian invasion, the number of students who have approached religion has risen, etc., and pointed to some of the theses of John Paul II in his message to Ukrainian youth regarding the promotion of spiritual values and European ideas.
