ENGLISH LANGUAGE COURSES AIMED AT PREPARING STUDENTS FOR ADMISSION TO THE MASTER’S DEGREE STUDY

English language courses aimed at preparing students for passing the Unified Entrance Examination (UAE), which enables their admission to the master’s degree study, were organized on the basis of the Center of Innovative Educational Technologies “PNU EcoSystem”. For the third week in a row, fourth-year students of Pedagogical and Natural Sciences Faculties are undergoing intensive training in a blended format under the supervision of the university teachers: Candidates of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professors Tetyana Blyznyuk and Kateryna Fomin.

According to the organizer of the courses, Associate Professor Tetyana Blyznyuk, the training is aimed at improving students’ English language competence by performing tasks similar to those provided at the Unified Entrance Exam program. The results of a survey of 4th year students of the university showed that such training is now extremely relevant. Considering the fact that the vast majority of students studied a foreign language only during first 2 years of bachelor’s degree (1, 2 courses), it is important to update and expand their knowledge in this direction.

This led to the development of a curriculum with tasks of appropriate content, creation of 6 groups focused on different levels of English, drawing up a weekly flexible work schedule (February – June). The latest methods, digital tools and individual approach to each student are effective in the work. We consider organizing courses on a regular basis.

All the participants will receive certificates of improvement of English language proficiency (45 academic hours).
