On 23 January, Professor Olena Budnyk participated in an international seminar on migration and cultural adaptation held at the Museum of Emigration in Gdynia (Poland). The event was organised by the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Pomeranian University in Słupsk and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Naval Military Academy in Gdynia.

The seminar addressed essential topics related to the integration of individuals with migration experience, emphasizing the role of culture in the adaptation process and the challenges faced by both migrants and host communities. Speakers shared their research, practical solutions, and examples of effective measures to facilitate integration. Additionally, various forms of support for migrants from Ukraine –including social, cultural, educational, informational, and psychological assistance –were explored.

The event provided an excellent opportunity to expand knowledge, build new connections, and develop a model for effectively supporting individuals with migration experience in Poland, focusing on cultural adaptation strategies. The seminar was conducted as part of a project funded by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
